Thank you to all those who donated so generously and supported Nao’s sister’s family and community which is slowly recovering from the devastating events of March 11 this year. This wonderful response is a reflection of the open-hearted, connected community that we live in.
We are happy to report Nao’s sister and her family are finally out of the evacuation center and in a home with water and electricity restored. Many services like post-offices and banks are still not operating in her community and many other community members still have no place to call home. The process of rebuilding communities like Nao’s sister’s is likely to take many years.
